Anthony Birkett, Head of Fees and Tactical Change (General Register Office)

I have been a civil servant for 25 years. I started my career in the Department for Work and Pensions before moving to the General Register Office, in 2004. Having worked in a number of operational roles within GRO, I moved to the Civil Registration Reform Team in October 2019, and took on my current role, Head of Fees and Tactical Change in March 2020, where I now have responsibility for the strategy around fees and funding. This role includes representing GRO on the Fees and Funding Working Group.
